I'm using Unity so I don't have to care about that. Unity supports everything you mentioned as far as I know. The game will run on Win, Linux and MacOS.

Exactly. That's one of the points why people use Unity. One code base (and unified shader language) for all platforms.

In theory I could even build console and mobile versions from the same code base but that's not planned (and it would still require some adjustments because there are always some platform specific things).

About sleeping, how about max stamina regeneration? full stamina is lets say 100 units, after time and also depending of hydration and hunger level, players max stamina can be only regenerated to desired level, after sleeping you will be still able to achieve full stamina to run or combat. Of course it will take some time to sleep and be off the game. After longer time players have to takea sleep cuz he will be struggling and losing health. I know, I wrote a messy post

while regaining health or stamina you could get hungrier than regular (food=energy) also when you're full you could go slower, because naturally you do until you digest it and it is turned into energy (and you can't eat 5000 meat in one sitting) and while your food bar goes down from "too much" to "not hungry" your energy bar goes up. Also fat and stuff to prevent the player from eating too much on stranded III because in real life you can't recover instantly from eating a bunch of cooked meat. Especially if it makes your stomach explode. Also, if there is an advanced menu, which may take time to make, such as cholesterol level and all the likes and using examples from real life, it would be more realistic (A hamburger might be healthy if you have low cholsterol, but unhealthy if you have too much) also vitamins and minerals, and maybe account, for example, if a lion attacks you it could tear off your left arm. Or right. Or legs. It would be possible to randomize hit marks, and you could have a menu that shows where you're wounded, also nutrient level. Also, because the days happen fast, maybe you character could die from old age (if you play it a lot) and that leads to more ideas that are too plentiful to be written down.

Well.. Yeah. It really doesn't. But maybe you agree that you don't have to be able to eat out an all-u-can-eat buffet. Also, it seems that stranded is getting more and more advanced all the time. Anyway, it if you eat and are full you should be able slowly get energy when you are full, but lose energy when you are hungry. Maybe also if you lose blood you need water (and iron. Just eat a brick of iron and you'll be set ). I don't know. If any realistic stuff is done it should be considered that it shouldn't get too cluttered leading 2 confusion and stuff (kind of like adding 200 pills to stranded 2 that you don't know what they are for) and make people get PTSD

@user ModJuicer: I considered stuff like that. I even thought about a really crazy (but unrealistic and complex) system:
Everything you eat is actually put in a queue. And every food item is processed one by one by your virtual digestive system. Only during the processing of an item you feel the positive/negative effects of it (health/hunger/thirst slowly increases/decreases). Also of course processing takes time and the "queue" (your digestive system) has limited space.
Additionally you could make your body get rid of the remains of processed food.

I think it would be funny to see that kind of pseudo-realism in a game. I also think however that this is too complex for most games, including Stranded III and that most people wouldn't even notice that there's such a complex system (unless you visualize it in a clear way which would be quite funny as well).

What I really would like (and probably will) add is a simple virtual fullness system. There won't be an indicator for it but when you eat/drink a lot in a short time your character will start to complain and if you continue anyway it will puke or other bad things will happen.

Unity can easily built, and unique games they've made & how it works based on their own Studio..

• Employees we're mean't to be hire or a Friend which of course..

• They've based on their reputation about the game designs..
Like on you're phone Apps Games we're made in Unity and the studios..

• And so on, getting more people we're interested how it plays, quality, designs, & sounds..

We'll simplify why am i doing this or talking like this which is really kinda creepy.. But anyways good to see yea guys..

user DC : could you maybe release a version of SIII so that people can get the hang of it? And maybe start some early modding for it, also. Or maybe at least send a link for a download for some of the modders that want to get a head start.

Oh. sorry. Just can't wait 4 release. Also, when i'm done with school and have to work I won't have much time for playing stranded, and I might disappear from this site like other modders never to have tried S3 once. Anyway, I want to get a head start on modding, and I also want to help with the progress but my computer doesn't support unity. I hope i'll at least be able to play the game.

(do you know any software to model and animate 3d models that doesn't require anything above OpenGL 1.1, which is the version my computer has and it isn't compatible with higher versions)

@user ModJuicer: I don't think Stranded 3 will run for you if you have this old hardware. Blender is the best option to work with models I believe.

Minimum Stranded 3 engine requirements:
OS: Windows 7 SP1+, 8, 10, 64-bit versions only; macOS 10.11+
CPU: SSE2 instruction set support.
GPU: Graphics card with DX10 (shader model 4.0) capabilities.

OpenGL requirement? I am kind of stuck with the same computer so I can't really do much. P.S. I don't think blender works below OpenGl 2.1 . Maybe I might have to stick to Stranded II. Anyway, I believe if I put in a lot of work, because I have more time than DC (but less knowledge and a worse pc) I could try to get a stranded II mod that would come somewhere close to stranded III in terms of fun.

Also, what do you think of being able to set stranded II terrain quality, so people with more computer space could make higher quality terrain, maybe quality modes: 1,2,4,8, which would be a larger terrain but scaled down for quality's sake. Than you could choose quality and scale (highest scale with highest quality would be a huuuge map taking up lots of space) We could do this for both Stranded II or Stranded III. Also, although DC doesn't like third person, it would be nice to keep it available in the options just for people who do like it (more options=more people playing=more publicity=more people on unreal software=more people modding unrealsoftware games=awesome).

also about the map idea, maybe you could try to find a way to make caves (by creating two sets of coordinates on one place) and also possibly floating islands (absolutely awesome)

@user ModJuicer: Definitely no 3rd person. That wouldn't be Stranded. It would add distance between the player and the character, destroying a lot of immersion. I dislike that idea so much that I don't even want to add it as an option (and also 3rd person isn't trivial and comes with tons of problems).

There will be quality settings but of course you won't be able to run the game if your PC is below Unity's minimum requirements:
https://unity3d.com/unity/system-requirements (right side)

DirectX 10 was introduced end 2006. So if your video card is less than 10 years old it should probably work somehow but maybe with bad performance.

I think the computer is new enough, it's just that the designers decided not to update it to keep it klunky, which is stupid but probably cheaper. Lenovo sucks...
