It's been a few weeks since our last update and we got a bunch of stuff going so we can get properly going now that we've all had our Christmas and new Year and whatever.
Our first new feature is map loading and changing - though not entirely bug free (as I noticed reviewing the new video).
The Features
remake using Unity3D
Map loading - load old maps or use the new map format provided
Lua script support - scriptable weapons, NPCs, Map Entities and backward compatibility
High Resolution support - suppports high resolution skins, sprites and tilesets
Awesome light engine - thanks to Starkkz

Why Unity3D? Unity3D is a modern game engine with many helpful features that is known to provide a simple interface and programming language to create large, powerful and efficient games, so it suits our needs in many ways.
When will it be released? We will release something to play as soon as we have something that works and actually shows something, but we will keep you posted on progress with screenshots and videos whenever we can!
Can I help in any way? If you are experienced in game dev, especially concerning Unity3D, artwork, shaders or networking feel free to apply via PM to me. Just say who you are, what you do and why you want to help. Also bring along some references on past projects if you should have any.
Will it be Open Source? This is not yet finally decided. There might be some open source parts, but some parts such as networking are sure to stay mostly closed source for security reasons.
