Hello, i am sorry if i am making a mistake by making this thread, but i am 100% certain that this game has died, i mean by that the game isn't that enjoyable as before, i know that this can change, there are too many server projects that are kinda lame, the population of the game has fallen for atleast a good 30% the best servers in the history of the game are down.Yates Happy Town is a example.There are also alot of gamemodes that i cant see anymore.Roleplay? It is the most enjoyable for me and there isn't a good Roleplay server,more correct there is only 1 server which isn't bad but 2-3 players is a record for it.Tibia aswell.I mean c'mon, who dosen't like tibia.Apple Multigame was good but still no players, it's sad to see that they have to add bots to make the server more crowded.Also some proof is Half-Life 2D (look it up if you dont know).There hasen't been a single comment or showcase of progress in 2 years, and it looked so good!It is quite sad to see that games like Minecraft are alot more crowded than examples of how games should be made like:CS2D,CS,Half-Life and so on..
So i hope i get some reply's with a smart idea.Sad to see this really...

This game isn't as dead as you might think. It's just not as popular as its 3D archetype.

So you think CS2D is not famous? Make it so! Follow Yates, make a forum, buy and launch some CS2D servers, organise tournaments. These are the best way imho √

only way to make this game again popular is add android platform but dc dont want anyway its still same game but people that used to play it now probably at age when you have your life problems and stuff to do thats why i dont play cs2d much no time but when i have time i cant acess pc but my phone always with me so i play critical strike or critical ops :d if there was cs2d i definitely play it

And Roleplay yeah, i'm the lover of it! But since i change my net i can't simply start new game and server to svlist(or dedicated).. Oh if i can i'd like to return back to cs2d.

And fuh, maybe owners of these servers have no money enough for buy servers or simply they don't pay the servers cause of something.. and they not givin' you a code of their mods maybe because they wanted to it be an unique.. Whatever.

I'm (was) the owner of vC | City life and vC | Role play, it got many players but I had one problem; with players you get DDoS and with DDoS you lose players and so I just stopped hosting these servers, I bet I'm not the only one...

I love role play too but I just gave up on restarting the server every 1 hour

I believe that there have been better servers in the past, but they weren't all alive at the same time. No server has lasted forever, that may be sad but on the other hand the game needs some fresh new stuff, you can't keep playing on the same servers forever, it's boring and unfunny. Having a great deal of outstanding online servers won't be healthy for the game, there will always be 2 or 3 popular servers and the rest won't have a lot of traffic, when a server disappears there is always alternatives to it so as to keep the game up to date.. and ideas never die indeed. Like in the past nobody thought of making mods containing construction or zombies.. but later we witness some of the greatest mods in CS2D's history inspired from those two.
In brief, the game didn't die. let's say it's a platform that is depended on the community's work, and as long as the community is making content, CS2D is still fine.

When will people ever search before posting a thread, seriously? This topic has been discussed like plenty of times and CS2D isn't dying as you think, it is just that the player base isn't that big compared long time ago.
